The essay is a living document. Material revisions are logged here with dates and a one-line summary of what changed. Substantive corrections are also published with the original passage struck through in place; minor copy edits (typos, formatting) are silent.

The essay is reviewed and re-tested on a quarterly cadence. The dataset behind its statistical claims is described on the methodology page.

First public version of "The Pre-Intake Problem." Nine sections. ~4,400 words. Dataset reflects roughly 200 PI firm diagnostics run during 2025 and the first half of 2026.

Planned reviews.

The next scheduled revision pass is August 2026. Items expected to be revisited:

• AI Overview prevalence percentage — likely to be updated upward as Google expands eligibility.
• Engine market-share figures — quarterly disclosures from OpenAI, Perplexity AI, and Google.
• The "less than 5% of firms appear" baseline — re-measured against the same metro cohort.
• Case-study reference (zero-to-43% in six weeks) — additional comparable engagements added if available.
